A Father's Testimony
A Mother's Testimony

Erin Healy - teen staff from 2002 to 2007
Senior at Allegheny College, Meadville, PA

"Oh so many memories.  I talk about my camp experiences all the time with my friends.  As you know, I didn't know anyone here when I first came.  My parents made me come to Staff Training weekend.  I cried and threw a fit.  But God had a bigger plan for my life and knew I needed everything Mystic Mountain had to offer.  One of my favorite memories is being on thc canoe staff as 'A Lady of the Lake.'"

  Ruthy Loizeaux
Senior at Hocking College - Nelsonville, OH

"At camp I learned how to work with people, whether I liked them or not.  We were all a team woking for the purpose of bringing glory to God.  Now that I am in college, I have been able to transfer this work/people experience into my exciting job.  I'm able to work with a wide spectrum of people and had a job held for me over the summer, that otherwise I wouldn't have been able to keep.  I think my experiences at camp have translated into an earned respect by my boss.  I loved being at Mystic Mountain and all of the adult volunteers.  It was a wonderful place to be mentored for future leadership opportunities."

Caleb Olczak - teen staff from 2001 to 2009
Junior at Colorado State University, Denver, CO

"For me, camp staff involvement was no big deal because I live here.  Growing up, our home was always a revolving door of things to do and people coming and going.  I think the biggest benefit of being a camp volunteer has been the leadership opportunities.  The best part of the camp experience was the friendships that were formed after camp hours, when just the teens were here."
Daniel Boisvert - teen volunteer 2003
Carpenter in Montreal, Quebec, Canada

"Volunteering at a Christian camp gave me such a spiritual boost.  It is such a wonderful experience to be surrounded by christian peers with the goal being to bring Christ alive to children.  I loved getting the world out of my head and emersing myself in the Word and serving God with all my being.  Camp provided me with an opportunity to discover my spiritual gifts and then be able to use them.    Although I didn't see my fellow volunteers throughout the year, I felt that i was being held accountable to them for my spiritual walk.  It was a good thing."
