Meet Our Horses

We have a variety of breeds in our herd, including the American Bashkir Curly breed.  The ages of horses varies substantly,  and they are quite amazing and gentle creatures.

Our horses are included in many aspects and programs we offer at Mystic Mountain.  We have a
Horse Lover's Weekend program for adults as well as children.  We provide riding lessons for beginners, intermediate or advanced riders, and a portion of our day camp programs, Great Adventure Day Camp, also incorporates a diversified equestrian program.

Katrina

Mystic's Rolling Thunder was born here in 2002.  His mother is Rose and his sire is Miracle and that makes him 3/4 Curly and 1/4 Belgium.  However, Thunder is 16.1 hands and weighs about 1700 lbs.  As a two year old he was sold and then as a five year old he was purchased and donated back to Mystic Mountain to be a rising star in our adult riding program.  Thunder is definately a gentle giant.

Katrina was a Hunter/Jumper in her previos life.  She is a high powered horse that really likes to step out.  She is Sorrel, 15.2 hands, and is for experienced riders only.

Marble, Mariah, Nibbs
Fancy, Flica
Mystic's Marble Delight was Mariah's second foal born on Mystic Mountain and she is a full American Bashkir Curly.  Marble is a dapple grey and is 15.2 hands.  She was born in 1998 and is a favorite amoung the A Day at a Horse Farm students.

Mystic's Mariah ia a full registered American Bashkir Curly.  She was born in 1990.  Mariah is 15 hands tall and is a beautiful buckskin color.  She was the first Curly horse at Mystic Mountain.  Her name means "God's Gift" and that she has indeed been.  In 1997 she was one of the first Curlies to be shown at the Equine Affaire in Columbus, Ohio.

Miss Nibbs came to Mystic Mountain as a yearling filly in 1990.  Her father was a black and white leopard appalossa and her mother was a brown and white paint.  Nibbs is black white a white blaze and white socks.  Go figure!  She is 14.3 hands.  So far Nibbs has the record of love letters written and pictures drawn of her from campers!  She is one of only two non-Curly horses on our farm.

Mystic's Fancy was born here in 2005.  Her mother is Flica and her sire was a Curly stallion named Star.  Star was out of Mariah and a stallion from New Jersey.  Although M&M and Fancy share the same mother, they look nothing alike.  Fancy has a gorgeous, long flowing, two tone flaxen and black mane and a cream colored body.  She is 14.2 hands tall and is hypoalergenic even though she has a straight coat like Flica.

Flica of Mystic Mountain was born in 1989.  She was purchased as a 4-H horse.  Flica and Zac Olczak soon swept the awards in Barrel Racing and Pole Bending.  Flica is one FAST horse but is extremely gentle for ground classes and giving pony rides.  Flica is only 14 hands and is a beautiful palomino color with zebra striping on her legs.  She is one of only two non-Curly horses on our farm.
