Update - 4/14/07 Camp info UpdatedNestled in the rolling hills of northwestern Pennsylvania is Mystic Mountain, the home of Bill and Denise Olczak, Pennsylvania's largest breeder of the American Bashkir Curly horses. We began our quality breeding program in 1996 with the purchase of our first "Curly" mare. Over the years our program has expanded to include ten mares, two stallions, one gelding, and miscellaneous young stock. It has been our goal to raise Curlies of quality conformation and gentle disposition. Our horses are trained to ride and some to drive. All of our foals are imprinted at birth and handled extensively by both adults and children. In 2000 we incorporated Mystic Mountain Training Center into a non-profit Christian education facility. Our educational programming includes the Great Adventure Day Camp for children ages 5-13, teen leadership development, and various seasonal outreach events for the general public. Character Education field trips for grades 1-5 began in 2003 along with special equestrian education activities for scouting, home school, and other groups. A Day At A Horse Farm is a favorite field trip for many first grade classes. Add in NRA classes, home school special interest courses, and I think you can see that things are indeed happening at Mystic Mountain Training Center. Our most elegant event of the year is the annual Victorian Ball complete with dance instruction. This event raised scholarship funds for campers who might not otherwise be able to attend the Great Adventure Day Camp. In 2005 the Erie Christian Prom came under the Training Center umbrella. We invite you to peek inside our site now to experience the thrill of the American Bashkir Curly horses of Mystic Mountain Training Center along with our fine educational and summer camp opportunities.
